Database users — the operator/login identities of the control plane, served by the system.users table.

Operator & database users

These are the login identities of the database control plane (ADR-042) — distinct from the customer roles of the application auth gate (ADR-041). Each user has a database role; the built-in admin role is management-implicit (it holds the manage verb without an explicit grant).

The table is read-only and, by design, exposes no password or hash — credentials are never queryable. Manage users right here: Create user, or use a row's menu to change a role, change a password, or delete the user. These changes need the manage verb (admin-only); the engine rejects an unauthorized change with a verbatim error.
